Good Grit is a lifestyle magazine that focuses on southern culture. This is a two full spread illustration about Johanna Rojas Vann’s advice as a second generation immigrant while promoting her new book “An American Immigrant.”

I was brought on to illustrate 4 section images along with a background to tie the spreads together. Because this article’s author is Colombian, I wanted to carry on those national colors and draw each piece in an art style popularized in Latin America, block-printing.
